Community Education Council District 3 (CEC3) is one of the 32 CEC in New York City represents public elementary and middle schools in the district. CEC3 responsibilities include: approving school zoning lines, holding hearings on the capital plan, evaluating community superintendents, and providing input on other important policy issues. CEC has 12 members, including ten elected parents and two members appointed by the Borough President, & two students selected by the Superintendent. Przed pracą w WSC pełniła funkcję asystenta dyrektora w programie City College Upward Bound. Jej inne doświadczenia obejmują pracę jako koordynatorka programu zapobiegania porzucaniu nauki (AIDP) w Dystrykcie 3. Na tym stanowisku pracowała z uczniami i rodzinami przebywającymi w domach tymczasowych, dbając o wsparcie uczniów w szkole, uświadamiając rodzicom ich prawa i obowiązki oraz zapewniając rodzinom dostęp do różnych zasobów. Tracy występowała także dla Common Sense Media podczas PBS Celebration of Teaching and Learning, gdzie podzieliła się znaczeniem edukowania rodziców na temat cyfrowego świata, w którym żyją dziś uczniowie. Dual language programs are an immersion education model where native English speakers and native speakers of another language, learn academic content in both languages. The goal is to develop bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural students, with instruction split approximately 50% in English and 50% in the other language.
